BZU President honors the Palestinian Poet Sameeh Al-Qasem

On 23 February 2011, BZU President, Dr. Khalil Hindi, presented an honorary plaque to the Palestinian Poet, Sameeh Al-Qasem, during a poetry recital session, held within BZU general lectures program.
The Head of the program, Dr. Kamal Abdel-Fattah, opened the event, applauding the role played by the Poet Sameeh Al-Qasem, who is highly appreciated by the Palestinian people.

Dr. Mahmoud al-Atshan and Dr. Nazmi Al-Jubeh welcomed the Poet, and Dr. Atshan confirmed that Kamal Nasser Hall has hosted many great people, including Sameeh Al-Qasem, who visited BZU for the first time in 1968 and has continued visiting it.

Dr. Atshan praised Al-Qasem's poetry, describing it as best pictures of feelings, since poetry is the mirror of nations in all circumstances

Al-Qasem stressed BZU's role as a renowned seat of learning from which successive generations graduate, emphasizing the need to put inter-Palestinian differences aside, and work on ending the Palestinian division.
