Information session highlights scholarship opportunities in Germany

Birzeit University undergraduates with a passion for pursuing study in Germany gathered on April 5, 2017 to learn about the scholarships offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the largest scholarship organization in the world.

The Head of DAAD in Palestine Christina Stahlbock encouraged the students to apply. According Stahlbock, Germany has prominent academic institutions that offer master's scholarships for Palestinians, pointing out the students can choose the university and city they want.

Stahlbock explained how higher-education institutions in Germany focus on both academic and practical arenas. "Most universities offer training opportunities during the students' academic journey".

"It is essential for students to have an academic merit that is no less than 80%, in addition to passing an English Language Test. Most academic programs are taught in English. However, students need to learn the German language in order to be able to adapt with the German culture and daily-life activities,” she concluded.
