Dr. Naiefa Rashied will delve into South Africa’s economic history, analysing the Foundational policies and their lasting legacies during the Apartheid era.

Prof. Patrick Bond will critically examine the post-Apartheid economic models, their Implementation and the persistence of economic apartheid. His analysis will include Insights into South Africa’s role in BRICS and the broader global economy, particularly in The context of neoliberal challenges post-2008 and debates about multipolarity versus Sub-imperialism. Discover how theoretical models of economic transformation were envisioned and why they often failed to address the deep-rooted inequalities of Apartheid.
