Full–time faculty member-Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Professions

The Department of Nursing at Birzeit University, Palestine seeks applications for the full-time positions of Assistant, Associate or Full Professors in Nursing to join the Department starting the first semester of the academic year 2008/2009. 
The prospective candidate is expected to teach courses in the Bachelors Program of nursing, MSN holders are also welcome.

While teaching at the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Professions at Birzeit University is conducted in English, knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

The Department of Chemistry at Birzeit University, Palestine is seeking a full – time faculty member to join the Department at the rank of assistant or associate professor starting the first semester of the academic year 2008/2009. 
The prospective candidate is expected to teach courses in the Bachelors Program in Chemistry as well as to teach courses and supervise students in the Masters Program in Applied Chemistry.

Qualifications:
1. A PhD degree in chemistry
2. Teaching and research experience in a field of applied chemistry.
3. Publication of scientific work.

Faculty member- Department of Physics

The Department of Physics at Birzeit University, Palestine, is seeking a faculty member to join the department at the rank of an associate professor for the academic year 2008/2009.  The prospective candidate shall teach standard courses at the Masters and Bachelor levels, and is expected to supervise students in their Masters thesis.

Qualifications:
1. A PhD degree in Physics (preferably in theoretical physics).
2. At least five years experience in teaching at the university level.
3. Published scientific work in the last couple of years.

Full-time positions of Assistant, Associate or Full Professors in the Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering departments.  Teaching starts in February 2008 for the winter semester.
Ph.D. holders are preferred. While teaching at the Faculty of IT at Birzeit University is conducted in English, knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
