Human Resources Department
Overview
The Human Resources Department is a major administrative unit with the Office of Administration and Finance,
and has been restructured to better service the campus community. It is
committed to fostering a community of excellence through high quality service. It supports the university's various departments and units in their hiring and employment needs by ensuring all policies and processes are followed.
The Human Resources Department is responsible for providing a
wide range of comprehensive human resources services to the University including
but not limited to:

Developing procedures that enable the University to recruit
and select capable employees.

Conducting orientation programs on a quarterly basis for
welcoming new employees.

Supervising training & development programs which aim to
developing and enhancing employees’ skills and productivity.

Developing, implementing and maintaining Personnel Policies
and Procedures within the scope of existing rules and regulations.

Developing and maintaining a performance appraisal system
that allows for an annual review of employees' contributions and performance.

Continuous updating of organizational charts and employees’
job descriptions.

Participating in creating and promoting cooperative and
positive relations among all employees.

Administering employees’ fringe benefits programs.

Administering employees’ contracts.

Managing employees’ records and files.

Managing payrolls.

Preparing the necessary reports and statistics.

Providing assistance in problem solving and conflict
resolution.

Serving as a resource to the University in all aspects of
human resources management
