On 16 February 2010, the Department of Admission and Registration honored its distinguished freshman students for the academic year 2009-2010, with the participation of the Director of Admission and Registration, Mr. Ghassan Abbas, and the Academic Counselor, Ms. Badira Abdel-Hadi.

Abbas asserted  that BZU is proud of its distinguished students, and urged them to be enthusiastic and insistent, which requires more attentiveness to maintain this distinction until graduation.

Ms. Abdel Hadi called upon the students to keep up with this excellence, asking the university administration, through the deans of various faculties, to give special attention to outstanding students, and to trigger their academic abilities in various areas through the activities of student clubs and faculties.

The number of honor list students of all BZU faculties has reached up to 377 including 73 freshman students.
