Zamn to Open New Café at Birzeit University
Birzeit
University President Khalil Hindi signed an
agreement with representatives of the Zamn Coffee Shop Chain
Company, Huda Jack and Ahmad Owaidah, allowing the popular
chain to build and manage a café on the BZU campus.
The signing
ceremony was attended by Vice President for
Advancement Ghassan Khatib, Vice President for
Administrative Affairs Adel Zagha, President's Office Director Isa Masriyah,
engineering office Manager Bishara
Abu-Ghannam and Public Relations Deputy
Director Lubna Abdel-Hadi.
According to the
agreement, the new coffee shop will provide healthy food services to students
and the university community. Implementation will commence
in coming months, and the café is expected to open its doors
on April 1, 2014.
"We hope that this agreement will be the beginning of other income-generating
projects that will benefit the university
community and students,”
President Hindi said.
Zamn’s
representative Jack said that the agreement was
a dream come true and thanked the university
administration for the opportunity.
