Najjad Zeenni Information Technology Center of Excellence (NZITCE)

The Najjad Zeenni Information Technology Center of Excellence (NZITCE) at Birzeit University established to promote research and development, innovation, training and consulting services in Information technology field and to form a bridge between the university and the local community. 

Mr. Najjad Zeenni, through American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), has funded Birzeit University to establish the center.

The generous donation from Mr. Najjad Zeenni covered the construction, furnishing, and equipping of the Center, as well as providing a startup fund for administration and overhead costs for two years. The NZITCE reflects the world-class standards of excellence.

The NZITCE will provide the facilities, resources, and tools to develop both a research and development culture and create a rich environment for innovation and creativity.  NZITCE will support novice entrepreneurs and students at the earliest stage of technological entrepreneurship and helps them to implement their ideas by turning them into exportable commercial products and forming productive business ventures in Palestine and outside. The Center will join efforts to develop high-tech products that relate to the local industrial, economic, and educational needs.
