Institutes & Centers
Birzeit University continuously aims to ensure that its strong
ties with the community are maintained and evolve through a range of activities
that aim to assist in the advancement of it's students and the community.
The research centers and community-oriented programs at Birzeit
University were themselves established in response to specific needs within the
community and mainly work with and serve the community. Their mission is to
expand scientific and social frontiers in the special areas of interest on which
they focus.
These institutes provide training, workshops, professional skills, post-secondary courses and Master degree programs. They facilitate community discussions on
pertinent topics in their specified fields and they also conduct policy-oriented
research, which is instrumental in the overall development of Palestinian
society.
Development Objectives of BZU Institutes and Centers

Develop and support community-oriented programs aiming at
sustainable development in Palestine.

Provide advanced educational opportunities along with
in-depth studies and specialization in the various fields of knowledge.

Conduct scientific studies and encourage and promote
research.

Work on the development of literature and arts as well as the
advancement of sciences.

Strengthen the links between Arab and international
universities and other scientific bodies.

Promote liberal education in Palestinian society within the
context of Arab culture and in keeping with the emerging global society.

Develop pluralistic ideals, democratic values and team spirit
among the student body.
