Scholarships

Birzeit University annually offers merit and need-based scholarships to hundreds of students to enable them to continue their education.  This process is greatly assisted by local, regional and international organizations and individuals that provide gifts to the University.

Selection Process

Students recipients of funded scholarships are selected by a Scholarship Fund Committee and administered as an integral part of the University's financial aid and merit based assistance programs.  Awards from these funds shall be made in compliance with the University policy of nondiscrimination and in compliance with specific criteria requirements set by the donor. 

If your scholarship is designated for a specific field of study, the student recipient may be selected by a faculty member or dean. Recipients cannot be selected by the donor or be a relative of the donor. 

Reporting

Donors may request annual reports from the University and from the student awarded the scholarship but may not publish any information regarding the recipients of the scholarships without the prior written consent of Birzeit University and the recipient. The University has various types of named funding opportunities for scholarships including Endowed  , Bachelors   and Annual .
