Birzeit University Alumni

In June 2000, the University held its 25th Silver Anniversary Commencement Exercises celebrating the 897 new graduates that made up the class of 2000. The Silver Anniversary provided an opportunity to reminisce and pay tribute to Birzeit's rich history and the nearly 8000 individuals who graduated from the University since its first commencement exercise in 1976. In a special celebration, the University also honored the 68 alumni of the first graduating class of Birzeit. Birzeit graduates have always played a prominent role in the development of the Palestinian society. Many have gone on to become experts in their fields, through either continuing their education here or abroad or working in the public and private sectors locally, regionally and internationally.
