University Anthem

Between 1939 and 1946, Birzeit School had among its staff two of the biggest names in poetry and music in the Arab world who helped write and compose its alma mater: Wadih Deeb, who worked as an Arabic instructor at the time and wrote the lyrics of the song, and Salvador Arnita, who taught piano at the school and composed the song’s music. Arnita also trained the school’s chorus, which played the alma mater at public events and graduation ceremonies.
