About the Arabic Music Program

Recognizing that music greatly affects and enhancing our learning and living, Birzeit University is offering a new advanced academic program in music. The program, launched in cooperation with the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (NCM) in Ramallah, aims at spreading creative and vibrant musical culture among Palestinian youths.

Our goals:

  1. Providing our students the high-level of knowledge and skills in oriental music
  2. Preparing students for a wide range of career options; locally and internationally
  3. Engaging music experts from different countries in the program; for an effective and deep learning.

The program is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in music. It provides a strong grounding in core disciplines and allows students to pursue their specialist interests, and are expected to:

  • Successfully passing General Secondary Exam (TAWJIHI), with a minimum grade of 65% .
  • Accepting Vocational TAWJIHI  including : Industrial, Commercial,…. .etc.
  • Passing the Audition Test.
