The objective of the program is to produce graduates who will have the knowledge and understanding, as well as and key transferable skills to be able to pursue professional careers in the visual arts and continue on to post-graduate study. Our objective is to teach contemporary art in a manner that addresses the historical, theoretical, and practical breadth of the field, and that engages with local knowledge, geopolitical contexts and lived realities of Palestine. We aim to provide students with a wide exposure to contemporary visual art, its methods, and practices. In our learning environment, the program applies a research-based approach to art-making founded on critical inquiry and accumulative experimentation with the conceptual and material basis of visual art-making.
