Teqball championship takes off on campus

Birzeit University’s Deanship of Student Affairs organized a championship in teqball, a recently invented football-based sport popular in Europe, with the participation of seventeen students.

Teqball combines elements of football and table tennis. The table on which it is played resembles a traditional tennis table, albeit curved to account for the size and speed of the soccer ball.

Mutaz Abul-Ahed won the first place, and Saif Raihan got in second. Four students from Birzeit University qualified to participate in the semi-finals of the Palestinian championship.
