Session presents Indian Government scholarships

The Office of External Academic Relations at Birzeit University organized an introductory session that detailed the Indian Government’s undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships on January 15, 2018.

The session, presented by Sondos Qawasmeh and Asma’ Shaheen from the Representative Office of India in Palestine, introduced the educational scholarships, which are part of the Indian Government’s annual scheme. The scholarships are aimed at students from Asian, African, and Latin American countries to continue their undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Indian universities.

The presentation explained the requirements of the scholarship program – considered one of the top education programs offered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) –  and listed the partner Indian universities.

The presenters detailed the application process, the academic majors offered, and the specific requirements of each major. “The language of instruction is English, and applicants must have a good command of English,” added Shaheen.
