Physics student attends German spring school on topological insulators

Maha Zuod, a master’s student in physics at Birzeit University, participated in a Juelich Spring School on topological insulators, skyrmions and majoranas at Forschungszentrum Juelich Center, Germany.

The school aims to attract young scientists and graduate students, offering a variety of lectures on different topics in physics like particle, solid and quantum physics. There were approximately 250 participants.

Forschungszentrum Juelich Center conducts research on comprehensive solutions for the grand challenges facing society in the fields of energy and environment, information and brain research. Its aim is to lay the foundation for the key technologies of tomorrow.
