Media Development Center announces its 2018 training courses

The Media Development Center at Birzeit University has announced its specialized training courses for 2018. The courses, led by international and regional subject matter experts, cover various media topics such as print media, new media, broadcast media, TV, media literacy education, community training, environmental media, media management, and training of trainers.

The center, through its various courses, is exploring new fields and aiming at segments of the population which would benefit from these courses, which are held in the center’s headquarters in Gaza and at Birzeit University, and at a number of universities and media organizations, in addition to a regional course in spokesperson training organized at Al-Wehdat Club in Jordan.

The center has also updated its courses to include a three-stage investigative journalism training program, which started in January, and will continue through April and July.

The courses offered by the center are aimed at journalists, media experts, and government officials who handle media coverage as part of their jobs. Courses are also aimed at entire institutions, such as the Ministry of Community Development, fire departments, and the Customs Control.

The courses, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and held in cooperation with the Danish House in Palestine and International Media Support, have been held since the beginning of the year and will continue until its end, with details about every course published before its start date so that participants and attendees can sign up by visiting mdc.birzeit.edu.
