Law students win Arabic Moot Court Competition

A team of Birzeit University law students placed first in the Annual Arabic Moot Court Competition 2017 held from April 2-6, 2017 in Kuwait. The team included students Ola Omar, Sabreen Abed, Tamer Hadia and Hamzah Swaid, under the supervision of the Head of the Law Department Mustafa Abdel Baqi. Swaid also ranked first in the oral pleading competition.

The Arab Moot Court is an Arabic competition in Criminal Law. The competition aims at providing law students with the necessary skills to plead in front of a court, guided by Arabic laws and with the Arabic language as the official language of the competition.
