A team of students at Birzeit University’s Faculty of Law and Public Administration was among the top ten teams to participate in the international virtual rounds of the 13th Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, organized by Oxford University.

Leen Awartani, Hanan Shihab, Lana Salameh and Issa Totah won all the rounds, repeatedly competing with teams that represented countries around the world, including China, Egypt, Hungary, India, Lebanon, Philippines, South Africa, the United States, and others. They were coached by Fouad Massad, a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Law.

Birzeit University’s team participated in the final stages of the virtual trial after winning at the regional preliminary round, held in February. The team was the only Middle Eastern team to participate in the final stages of the competition.
