Institute of Law at BZU launches a new book on the "Legal System of the Palestine Liberation Organization"

On 9 December 2010, the Institute of Law (IoL) at BZU celebrated the launching of the book "The legal system of the Palestine Liberation Organization: Legislation governing security and revolutionary courts", as part of a series of law and security, issued within the "Strengthening good governance in the Palestinian security sector Program," being implemented by the IoL since 2008, and supported by the Foundation for the Future.

In his opening address, the Director of IoL, Dr. Ghassan Faramand, overviewed the "Strengthening good governance in the Palestinian security sector Program."

Dr. Faramand thanked the two researchers ,Moeen Barghouthi and Rashad Twam, who worked on the book, considering this book as an Iol"s  contribution to research in the documentation of the legal system of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which comes within the framework of a comprehensive process initiated by the IoL to document and revise  the Palestinian legal system, through the establishment of Palestinian judiciary and legislation system "Al-Muqtafi".

The Program's Manager, Mr. Moeen Barghouthi, presented the book in terms of the methodology used in the preparation and the contents of the book that included legislation and documents, referring to some of the difficulties faced by the preparation team, thanking the political, military, legal and academic figures, who supported the team.
