Greek 4-Elements delegation explores baseline teaching study

A delegation from 4-Elements organization visited Birzeit University and met with Vice President for Academic Affairs Henry Giacaman.

The visit was organized in cooperation with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and within an Erasmus Plus project funded by the European Union.

The delegation discussed prospects for conducting a baseline national study on teaching and evaluation practices in first-year courses at Palestinian universities. During the visit, the 4-Elements delegation conducted interviews with faculty members and students attending those courses as well as the Unit of Quality Assurance at Birzeit University.

The meeting was also attended by the Dean of Faculty of Education Hasan Abdelkarim, project coordinator Ahmad Aljanazrah, Nabeel Dabdoob from the office of Vice President for Planning and Development, and Education Professor Mousa Al Khaldi.

This project is headed by An-Najah National University in partnership with Birzeit, and other Palestinian and European universities. The visit comes within the framework of ongoing Birzeit University cooperation with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and other Palestinian universities to enhance the quality of higher education in Palestine.
