Deanship organizes play focusing on gender equality

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Birzeit University has wrapped-up its performance of the social commentary play “To the Municipality” on May 20, 2019, after a series of performances staged at various Palestinian universities. 

The play, following the attempts of a local woman to register as a candidate for the local municipality elections, explores the realities of life in a male-dominated society, and calls for equality for women in all aspects of life. 

“To the Municipality” was supported by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), produced by the Gender Forum in the Ministry of Local Governance, and performed by Mohammad Al-Haj Ahmad, from the Deanship of Student Affairs, and Suha Zaben.
