BZU builds networks with Francophone countries
On behalf of Birzeit University’s President Abdullatif Abuhijleh, the Director of the External Academic Relations Office Amir Khalil participated in the Conference of Rectors in the Middle East (CONFERMO), organized by the International Organization of La Francophonie in Lebanon.
The Conference discussed the importance of “Digital Education Governance” for supporting the universities mission in disseminating knowledge and empowering their research production. The Conference also aimed to reinforce free debates among university rectors in the Middle East and explore prospects of cooperation.
The International Organization of La Francophonie, also known as the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, is a global network of French-speaking higher education and research institutions. It operates in the French- speaking countries of Africa, the Arab world, Southeast Asia, North and South America among others.
