37th Cohort Graduates

On 15 September 2012, BZU celebrated the graduation of the 37th cohort of summer school graduates. The ceremony was attended by BZU President, Dr. Khalil Hindi, and members of the BZU Board of Trustees, as well as graduates and their parents.

Addressing the graduates, Dr. Hindi noted: "No doubt that the knowledge you have acquired and experiences you have accumulated will pave the way for success. To be honest with you, success will not be easy—you should work hard and be truthful to reach the highest ranks.”
He added: "You have the right to be proud of being graduates of the best Palestinian university, in terms of academic excellence. However, BZU endeavors to advance further by adopting teaching and learning quality indicators, in terms of student-teacher ratio, faculty members with PhDs to students ratio, the percentage of library holdings (soft and hard copies) to the number of students, as well as the percentage of scientific publications in international refereed journals to the number of teaching staff.”

On behalf of the graduates, student Hala Sameh Jada’ gave a speech in which she identified BZU not only as a physical place, but also a space of ideas, where the noble mission of the University is embodied. She commended the extent of support provided by BZU and its teaching staff, calling upon the graduates to adopt genuine values and be good ambassadors for the University.
