an Assistant professor in Public Administration and Public policy at Birzeit University, Department of Public Administration, since 2012. He had his PhD from Portland State University, Hatfield School of Government in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. In Public Administration and Policy Affairs with focus on sustainable development policy implementation.
Dr. Alayasa teaches Strategic management, Public policy, seminar in sustainable development policy implementation among many other classes. his research interests are reforming and developing the Palestinian public sector, promoting public service, sustainable development and sustainability from the local level. He represented Birzeit university many times in formulating and reviewing the Palestinian government national strategic sectoral plans. Dr. Alayasa believes in joint research and collective research efforts, in addition to individual research efforts, to find solutions for critical problems in policy affairs. Now he is working, with other colleagues on two researches that addresses improving public service in the palestinian public sector; and examining the impact of Palestinian governments turnovers on the sustainability of public policies. Besides teaching and research, Dr. Alayasa is now the Dean Assistant of the Faculty of Law and Public Administration.
