TIM BUCKNALL of Kresy Siberia

on Wednesday, 9th November at 10:00 am

at  Birzeit University\ Maktom bld. 233 (Mock Court Room)

 

* The event will comprise of a film depicting the history of the soldiers of Polish II Corps fighting in Palestine during WW II, followed by a Q&A session.

** Kresy-Siberia was established on 17 Sept 2001 to research, remember and recognize Poland’s citizens in  their fight for survival and freedom in “Kresy” (the former Eastern Borderlands of Poland) and in exile in Siberia and other places  during World War II

*** تيم بكنال: مؤرخ وعضو جمعية Kresy Siberia والتي تعنى بتاريخ المنطقة الشرقية لبولندا والتي تم ضمها للاتحاد السوفييتي عشية الحرب العالمية الثانية ومنها تم إنشاء الجيش البولندي التابع لحكومة بولندا في المنفى، وهذا الجيش غادر الاتحاد السوفييتي إلى الجبهة في شمال أفريقيا عبر إيران العراق وسوريا وفلسطين
