In this level focus is on building solo concert programs and musical performance; playing complete programs, including choice of form and pieces of a high technical level; free-time improvisations within different musical genres and meters; maqam improvisations and connecting Oriental maqams through the improvisation; playing musical different musical forms in a stylistically authentic way; practical composition in a wide variety of forms. Students are required to perform a complete solo public recital at the end of this course as a graduation project.
