Musical arrangement through oral communication.  Investigation of styles of oral transmission, and the importance of clarity when communicating ideas; memorizing pieces, the advantages of this, and a comparison of this style of arranging to previously used styles.  Each student arranges a piece in this way and teaches the arrangement to the ensemble.  Patterns of performance practice in Egypt at the beginning of the twentieth century. Developing the basics of music conducting.
