An introduction to planning principles and history and theories of planning, city evolution and its content as an organic integrated unit with integrative functions, relation between planning processes and economical, social and human development. Problems of Urban growth, analytical study of built environment. Infrastructure services, land use, organization of road network and transportation, vision for future development of cities. (lecture 2hr, studio 3hours).
