Conference on "Palestine in a Changing World"
Join us at the international conference "Palestine in a Changing world" organized by Ibrahim Abu Lughod Institute of International Studies on Saturday and Sunday 6th, 7th May, 2017 starting at 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM, at Room 104 at Said Khoury Building for Development Studies at Birzeit University. The event will host a number of prominent local and international academics, scholars and diplomatics.
What to expect?
- A Characterization of the international context, including changes in the nature and influence of significant world powers and their effect on Palestine as well as transformations proper to Palestinian society itself over the past three decades.
- Dealing with specific world powers and their attitude towards the Palestinian question, at both the official and the popular levels, notably in the United States, the EU, China, Russia, Eastern Europe, the Arab States, and others, in addition to Palestine’s place in the network of international organizations.
- Analyzing prospects for achieving breakthroughs in the quest for the realization of Palestinian national goals and the resolution of the Palestinian question.
