Mohammed Masrouji was born in Cairo to Palestinian parents in 1935. He earned a bachelor's degree in History, and a master's in Business Administration before becoming chairman of the Board of Directors and director general of the Jerusalem (Al-Quds) Pharmaceuticals Company, Masrouji Group and National Insurance companies. He also serves as the president of the Palestinian Businessmen Association, served as vice-president of the Federation of Arab Businessmen and as president of the Association of Friends of Birzeit University, and is a member of the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center Board of Trustees and a member of the Arab Thought forum Board of Trustees.
