Mr. Masri is Chair of the Palestine Islamic Bank, and currently serves as a member of the boards of the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) and the Palestine Stock Exchange.
From 2006 to 2014, he was the Chair of the Palestine Capital Markets Authority. Prior to that, he served as the Minister of National Economy until 2005. As Minister, he chaired the Palestinian Investment Promotion Agency (PIPA), the Palestine Standards Institution (PSI), and the Palestinian Industrial Estates and Free Zone Authority (PIEFZA). In 1996, he was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council (Parliament). He has also worked as an economist in Lebanon, the UK, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine. Mr. Masri holds BA and MA degrees in Economics from the American University of Beirut.
