PHAR301 | COMMUNITY PHARMACY TRAINING

Students spend 8 weeks in community pharmacies where they observe pharmacists’ work. There is a weekly lecture to evaluate trainees, to discuss the material covered in the previous week, to introduce the following week’s material and assignments and to discuss any problems or difficulties the students face.Students become familiar with generics vs. brands and pharmaceutical companies. They also gain communication skills, patient education techniques and drug therapy problem (DTP in prescriptions) handling methods.
