This course provides opportunity for synthesis and evaluation of professional nursing role behaviors essential to care of patients experiencing complex care needs in a variety of settings. Emphasis is placed on refinement of critical thinking and communication skills and the integrations of a range of therapeutic interventions into nursing practice, including those appropriate to individual patients, their families/significant others, and relevant population-based groups (7 credits clinical).
