Nursing professors share experiences with University of Eastern Finland academics

As part of the International Staff Training Week held at Birzeit University in March 2019, two faculty members of the nursing department in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Professions visited the University of Eastern Finland, presenting lectures and participating in workshops.

Funded by the Erasmus+ program, Chair of the Department of Nursing Mutaz Dredei and Khalid Yaseem, an instructor at the department, went on this academic visit to present their expertise and look into possible cooperation with the University of Eastern Finland, exploring ways to engage in faculty and student exchange.

The Department of Nursing is currently renovating a nursing simulation laboratory based on the recommendations and example of Finish labs. Dreidei and Yaseen learned from the host university’s experience, focusing on practical topics that will empower the nursing faculty and enable it to provide its students with the skills needed to succeed in their careers.
