Architecture Students are Frontrunners in International Architecture Competition

Birzeit University students from the Department of Architecture Engineering reached the final at the ISARCH awards. Participants Diala Andonya, Dina Habash and Tulista Balout said that their project was ranked 30 among 370 projects that submitted to the competition.

Entitled "Urban Acupuncture in Ramallah- Palestine", the students' project identified weak or sensitive spots in the city that are left untreated or marginalized, and suggested solutions to treat these areas using urban acupuncture, by taking advantage of left or dead spacing.

The ISARCH Awards are international awards targets students of architecture. It aims to boost Avant-grade trends to recognize new researches and projects that emerge from universities' students.
