Academic Programs
Most academic departments offer a Bachelor Degree in either a single major or in a major combined with a minor. However, certain departments do not grant a degree, but offer courses that may fulfill elective course requirements.
All undergraduate programs award Bachelor degrees upon the completion of a four-year course of study, while Engineering degrees require five years. The Faculty of Graduate Studies offers Master degrees and diplomas in a wide range of fields.
The University’s official language is Arabic, though many courses are taught in English. The University follows the semester system, with two four-month semesters beginning in autumn and spring, and a shorter two-month summer session.
