When and Where do you announce for the opening of admission for each scholastic yearsemester?

Upon completion of the General Secondary Education Certificate (General Certificate Examination (GCE)Tawjihi) and through BZU website at http://www.birzeit.edu/ and in local newspapers.

How to obtain the admission kit?

 From the Publications DivisionFinance office at BZU or from anyone of the Arab Bank Branches

What are the required credentials to be submitted with the application?

  • Two passportrecent photosPalestinian GCE (Arts & Sciences) or any Arab GCE.
  • High averages in GCE (commercial Branch).
  • IB2, GCE.
  • Copy of the Birth Certificate.
  • Copy of the seat number card (Tawjihi only)
  • Copy of the Identification Card (ID).
  • Copy of an authorized GCE transcript of gradesTawjihi scores

Which General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) GCE certificates are recognized by BZU?

  • Palestinian TawjeeheyTawjihi (ArtsLiterary/ & SciencesScientific) or equivalent from any Arab country.
  • High averages in TawjeeheyTawjihi (Commercial Branch).
  • IB2, GCE, SATS; SAT I and SAT II and IGCSE upon equivalence by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education

Does BZYU* recognize Bagrot Matriculation earned by Palestinian students of 1948?

Yes, indeed.

What is the minimum average accepted at BZU?

Identified by the Admission Committee, in accordance with the median average of applications submitted for each scholastic year.

Do you accept non-speaking Arabic students?

Yes, there are specialized courses in the Palestine and Arabic Studies Program, in addition to many other courses.

Is the TawjeeheyTawjihi (Industrial & Agricultural) recognized by BZU?

Presently, corresponding programs are unavailable.No.

Are old TawjeeheyTawjihi Certificate holders accepted?

Yes.

Can a graduate from community college pursue his/her education at BZU?

Yes, based on histhe Tawjeeheyihi Certificate, since BZU does not recognize certificates awarded by community colleges.

What are the admission requirements for a student who wishes to transfer from another university to BZU?

  • Completion of 30 credit hrshours from the otherhis/ her home university.
  • Cumulative average of not less than 70%.
  • Average in GCETawjihi as accredited in that year.
  • Copy of official transcript of grades.
  • Accredited course description from the otherhis/ her home university.

What procedures are followed with respect to an accepted student for the 1st semester and didn't fully pay his tuition fees?

He/She canwill lose his/ her seat and may renew his/her application froor the 2nd semester. and has to pay nominal fees.

In case of withdrawal, what are the steps to be taken for re-enteringadmission?

To fill athe re-admission form as announced in the local newspapers.

Does BZU provide new students with guidespamphlets, manual, etc.

Yes, you can pick up a copy from the Admission and  Registration OfficeDepartment.

When do you announce for submission of applications by both BZU and other universities' graduates to enroll for Education Diploma?

BZU announces that (a month prior the beginning of theevery semester) in local newspapers and via BZU website at http://www.birzeit.edu/ Applications are available at the Office of Admission and Registration Department

I am a holder of a BA Degree from BZU, Canmay I enroll in another Bachelor Program at BZU?

You canmay enroll in another Bachelor Program but in another faculty.

Are honor list students (with a semester average of 85%) exempted from the dual track education tuition fees.

Only regular students on the honor list are exempted from tuition fees. yes. (Regular students only)

I wish to change my name?

You are requestedhave to provide the Admission Officeand Registration Department  with an official document (birth certificate or ID). but before graduation
