Department of Mathematics holds a Seminar
The Department of Mathematics held a Seminar on "Modeling the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Using Game Theory" on 10 November 2009, in which Dr. Hassan Abu-Hassan from the Mathematics Dept. at BZU participated.
In this talk, Dr. Abu-Hassan tried to model the Israeli-Palestinian conflict using game theory. Symmetric game, in which the two players have complete information, is assumed to apply. Two solutions were presented, the first solution, Nash equilibrium, is presented, then the theory of moves (TOM), which allows strategy shifts by players, is used to present a non-standard game theory solution.
