Bachelor Program in Economics

Admission Requirements

1. Student must successfully complete and obtain a cumulative average of 70% in the following courses:

ECON131 , ECON132

2. A grade of not less than 70% in all major courses

3. Department approval based on based on intake capacity - priority is given to students with higher scores in the courses above and where these are even, other academic criteria can be sought by the department committee.

Condition for Continuing in Major

Student in Major must maintain a cumulative Major average of not less than 70%.

Program Requirements

Student must successfully complete a minimum of 57 credit hours of courses distributed as follows:

1. Core courses ( 27 credit hours):

ECON132 , ECON3311 , ECON3321 , ECON335 , ECON3361 , ECON338 , ECON339 , ECON432 , ECON437

2. Elective courses (12 credit hours) from other courses from Economics Department excluding ECON233 and ECON337 .

3. (6 credit hours) ACCT230 , ACCT331

4. (6 credit hours) BUSA230 , BUSA237

5. (6 credit hours) FINN230 , FINN331
