The Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Professions held on Wednesday, 18 March 2009, a lecture by Dr. Linda L. Eddy, from Washington State University - Vancouver, entitled "Children with Chronic Health Problems and Their Families", were she highlighted the nurses' role, what families need, and who is meeting the needs of children with special needs. She also discussed the impact of various physical disabilities on the parents and the family.  After the lecture, the students who attended were involved in a very active discussion with Dr. Eddy.
