Spring Semester 2007/2008 Starts at BZU
On 9 February 2008, around 7,700 students resumed their studies for the 2nd semester of the academic year 07/08.

tif Abu Hijleh, elucidated that a limited number of students have been admitted to the various undergraduate and graduate programs for this semester, in accordance with the same admission requirements applicable to the 1st semester.
Abu Hijleh affirmed that the 1st batch of students has been admitted to the new Bachelor programs in
"Nursing" and "Nutrition and Dietetics", which have been recently introduced. He stated that the construction of the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Professions will begin shortly, indicating that new programs have been already submitted to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for final accreditation. The programs are: Master Program in Chemistry, Bachelor Program in Business Economics and Bachelor Program in Mechatronics.

ontemporary Arab Studies, Dr. Abdel-Karim Barghouthi, explained that the Program has been modified and re-introduced for the academic year 2007-2008, which aims at providing students with analytical and in-depth knowledge of Arab contemporary issues from an Arab perspective. He added that the courses of the Program are divided into 5 main groups, each of which deals with one aspect of life in the Arab World.
