BZU IT Students Occupies the 1st Place in an Exhibition Contest for the Projects of IT Students in the Arab World

BZU was rated # 1 in an exhibition contest for the projects of IT Students in the Arab World, held at the University of Petra in Jordan, in cooperation with the Union of Arab Universities and the General Secretariat of the Society of Computer and Information Colleges, in which 18 Arab universities have participated.

The Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at BZU, Dr. Adnan Yahya, stressed the importance of students' participation in this event, in which the IT students are provided with an opportunity to exhibit their skills before the IT companies.

Dr. Yahya explained the "Arab Search Engine" Project, implemented by BZU graduates of the computer systems engineering 2007-2008, which won the 1st place among 50 other submitted projects. It was evaluated by a specialized committee, and found to be a promising and modern project, he added.

A number of Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Yemenis and Kuwaiti universities have taken part in the contest.
