Orientation Program for Students of Graduate Studies

 The Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Dr. Liza Taraki, stressed that the Academic Support Unit seeks to support the students of graduate studies in various programs and nourish their academic thought in their fields of specialization and to integrate students' knowledge  into BZU academic community and the Palestinian society.

The orientation meeting was held on 9 November 2009 to acquaint the students of graduate studies with the different services and facilities provided by the Academic Support Unit

The Head of the Academic Support  Unit, Dr. Rana Barakat, explained that the Unit aims to provide a package of services for the students such as: developing research and academic writing skills, computer skills for research purposes and language proficiency, as well as providing electronic and printed  references  and training students on how to use them.

The Graduate Studies Coordinator at the Admission and Registration Office, Ibrahim Rabab'ah, presented registration  rules and regulations of master programs, while Mr. Ra'ed Shnaiwar acquainted the students with the scholarships provided by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and mechanisms for applications . Moreover, Mr. Mahmoud Marar informed the students about the available databases at the libraries and how to access them.  

During the meeting, Dr. Majdi Malki and Dr. Wa'el Qara'een delivered  a lecture  on the art of writing.
