BZU’s Department of Architectural Engineering organized a workshop on “Developing  Main Guidelines for Spatial Planning Curricula” that was held November 17-18, 2012 as part of the APPEAR Project (Capacity Building for Rural Development in the occupied Palestinian territories).

The two-day workshop was held to establish guidelines and principles for proposed curricula in spatial planning that would lead to a Bachelor’s degree. The participants discussed goals of the program, qualifications required, and educational content, methods and aids.

Participants in the workshop included faculty from the Architectural Engineering Department of BZU; the Institute of Urbanism of Graz University of Technology in Austria; the Department of Landscape, Spatial and Infrastructure Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna; and the Department of Spatial Development, Infrastructure and Environmental Planning at the Vienna University of Technology.
