The Department of French language at BZU and the General Consulate of France in Jerusalem, organized a lecture by Professor Georges Daniel Véronique on "Language acquisition: the example of French as a second language", dated 21 September 2010
The lecture provided an introduction to the field of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) research, particularly to research work on the acquisition of French as a second language. The aim of the Power Point presentation is to illustrate the major stages in the acquisition-learning of French and its implications for teaching.
Georges Daniel Véronique is professor of French linguistics and Creole studies at Université de Provence (Aix-en-Provence, France). G.D VÉRONIQUE's research interests bear on the grammatical and sociolinguistic dimensions of language contact and verbal interaction.
